Welcome to the California Science & Engineering Fair
The presentation approval process has closed.
The CSEF 2025 Presentation Reveiw Process has closed. If you have not already submitted your corrected reviews, please email a copy with your name and project ID to gould@csef.org
Be sure to print a copy of your correctly formatted presentation and place it on the table beside your project display. The list below may not properly indicate the status of corrected presentations submitted within 72 hours of the Fair.
Before coming to the fair, fully read and comply with all the display approval rules and restrictions as described in the Display Regulations near the bottom of this page.
There may be a short delay before the data fields are populated. Please be patient, but if the table does not appear in several minutes, please open the page using a different browser.
New submissions may not appear in the verification list for the first 24 to 52 hours after submission.
Once your Presentation is accepted, print it out and bring it along with your Display Board to the Fair. You may also wish to bring any reports, data, lab books, notes and code you produced in the course of your project.
Links to your project website, a video, a repository or an online demo may be included on your Display Board and on the References page of your Project Presentation.
In addition to your approved Project Presentation, all participants are required to create and present a Science Fair Backdrop or Project Display at the Fair.
Your Backdrop or Display may include any information you feel the judges need to understand and evaluate your work, as long as it is clearly readable and complies with the Display Regulations.
You can include any of the information or data from your Project Presentation, which you should also print and have available in front of your display.
The display serves two purposes. It should quickly inform judges of the nature, depth, quality, hypothesis or goal, methods, results and conclusion of your work, and it should provide a useful visual aid for your personal explanations during the interview process.
In designing your display, think about what would be most relevant and helpful to easily show your judges as you are explaining the project and answering their questions. Make those details as prominent, easy to find and quickly understandable as possible as you may only have a few moments to answer a particular judge's question during the interview process. Do not attempt to squeeze every detail from your Project Presentation, lab books, plans, code listings, reports or data onto your Display, but do include specific information, images or details that you will likely wish to point out during the interview. You can and should bring and make available to the judges your full Project Presentation, lab books, plans, code listings, reports or data, however, as long as they comply with the Display Regulations linked to the button above.
Important Notes Regarding Project Presentation Status Report
Project entries will not appear in the status report above until they have completed their first full review. Review notes and status are subject to change and may be modified, clarified, adjusted or amended at any time. Please check back regularly to note any changes in project approval status.
Be sure that you have deleted the original presentation before resubmitting a new one. If you have made corrections and not already done this, or if you updated your report more than 24 hours ago, and have not seen any change in status, please delete the presentation from zFairs now and then resubmit the revised presentation again.
Use the mouse or arrow keys to scroll up and down through the list. Projects not shown are awaiting submission or still in the review process. Accepted projects will display a link to their latest approved presentation. This table does not update in real time, so check back in a day if you do not see an expected status update. Scroll to the right to see a list of any required corrections. Students should check back regularly until the latest version of their presentation is accepted.
